Pre Event Massage

Sports massage techniques can be used pre-event to great effect to prepare you physically and mentally. It can ensure your anatomy and especially your muscles are tuned up ready to perform to the best of their ability to maximise performance. The proven benefits are relaxation, improved range of movement, enhanced flexibility, increased circulation and reduced likelihood of injury. Relaxation can also help to reduce stress and anxiety that may be experienced before an event.

Post Event Massage

Post event massage is highly effective in helping those aching, tired muscles to recover and feel better faster. The main purpose of a post event massage is to remove the metabolic waste such as lactic acid from the body that is produced during exercise. It can immediately relieve muscle aching and tightness, support soft tissue recovery and repair, and decrease muscle fatigue.

Maintenance Massage

Many people have regular sports massage to keep their body functioning optimally and support their training. Countering the stresses and strains of life and preventing injury through regular maintenance is proven. This type of massage will often work on specific elements. The aim is to minimise or remove muscle tightness, improve tissue health, regeneration & repair. Muscle imbalances can be identified and addressed to maintain the overall health and balance of the body. It is particularly beneficial to those who train or play sport regularly and those with lifestyles that include manual labour or sedentary roles as they can often create postural issues, repetitive strain injuries and muscle fatigue or discomfort.

Lifestyle Massage

Active stretching and other procedures will be used where relevant as part of your therapy. And we will show you strengthening and conditioning techniques including foam rolling and dynamic stretching so that you can undertake these yourself at home to support your health and wellbeing.

Dry Cupping Therapy

Dry cupping can be used by itself or alongside other therapies and is particularly effective on neck, back, shoulders and legs. Benefits include:

– Decrease muscle pain
– Increase localised blood flow to support the healing process
– Reduce tension
– Increase muscle pliability and range of movement

Additionally dry cupping can soften ‘old’ scar tissue and reduce numbness, tightness and pain around the scar area.

Flexibility of location

Currently Suzi is able to provide massages from our location in Pilton. Home visits can be arranged up to a radius of 15 miles (from Pilton) subject to availability but may incur additional costs. Please call us to discuss as we will support where we can.
